Growing up in the construction business perfects client approach
David Sharbani started working for his father’s construction company when he was just a teenager, and has been in the design and remodeling industry for over 38 years. When he joined his father’s contracting business, his construction education and experience brought a new dimension to the company’s designs and remodels. How a project gets built became the forefront of every design. This angle helped clients attain their dream kitchen, bath, extension or home remodel.
Specializing in kitchens and baths is particularly meaningful to him since his mother, born in France, instilled in him a love for fine design and family gatherings. Sharbani’s dad, Yeheskel, was an electrical engineer in a nuclear power plant before starting his construction business. Sharbani learned the art of precision and “do it right the first time” from his father, who insisted on this type of focus.
Today, Sharbani, who is president of Elite Kitchen & Bath in Manhasset, NY, leads a team that starts every project by asking clients how they use their space, and how they would like to use it after it is renovated. These simple questions lead the project design and remodel. His design approach stresses not only aesthetics, but functionality, longevity and ease of use.
The firm’s work has been recognized with countless honors, including the Interior Design Society’s DOTY Award and the NARI Platinum & Gold Awards.
